On Wednesday, June 24 we keep an eye on Yahoo! Inc’s (YHOO) annual shareholder meeting, as well as three companies scheduled to report their quarterly financial results and some economic data to watch on Wall Street. The search engine is set to meet in Santa Clara, Calif. as the board’s current nine directors are up for re-election. The notable earnings for the day include Monsanto Co. (MON), Lennar Corp (LEN), and Bed Bath & Beyond Inc (BBBY). Monsanto, a provider of agricultural products for farmers, and Lennar report before the market opens, while home furnishings retailer Bed Bath & Beyond releases its results after market close. Lennar is scheduled to report its second quarter earnings results. The homebuilder is expected to earn 64 cents a share on $2.02 billion in sales for the quarter, according to Thomson Reuters data. On the economic calendar, we note mortgage applications figures from the Mortgage Bankers’ Association to get a feel for housing demand, as well as economic momentum. Also, we keep an eye on the final first quarter GDP report and the EIA petroleum status report. TheStreet’s Kurumi Fukushima reports in New York.
